SUNO SBDMI to hold QuickBooks tutorial

NEW ORLEANS, LA - The Southern University at New Orleans Small Business
Development & Management Institute (SUNO-SBDMI) will hold a
“QuickBooks Tutorial” workshop on Saturday, September 27, 2008
from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The workshop will be held on the Lake
Campus at 6801 Press Drive in Building 28C. The session is free and
open to the public. Because of limited seating, however, registration
is required.

The workshop is designed to teach attendees several features and
benefits of the QuickBooks program. Attendees will learn how to:

● Get started and set up accounts
● Manage QuickBooks
● Make journal entries
● Manage financial statements
● Manage tax-related issues

SUNO-SBMDI was organized to “create a unique, dynamic, and vibrant
entrepreneurship program that will significantly contribute to the
economic and social development of post-Katrina New Orleans.” The
institute aims to accomplish its mission by “providing ethically
sensitive, cutting-edge training for entrepreneurs to take advantage of
business opportunities in areas where New Orleans has a comparative
advantage.”
