Scope

This seminar presents time-tested tactics and techniques on how to deliver your message clearly and concisely with both print and electronic media reporters. This concise, fast-paced seminar also will help you pinpoint your personal communication strengths and weaknesses, while giving you a roadmap to self-improvement for any public speaking setting.

Who Should Attend

The News Media Interview Skills seminar is designed for senior and mid-level executives in the business community, government agencies and nonprofit organizations.

  • Anatomy of an interview: understanding the process.

  • How to prepare: crucial tips and techniques.

  • Remove the intimidation factor and project a confident, informed image.

Speaker

Paul A. Greenberg, MA, is the director of the Journalism and Media Arts Program for the School of Continuing Studies - Tulane University. Also an active professional journalist, his work regularly appears in numerous regional and national print publications and online sources. These include the Times-Picayune, People Magazine, MONSTER.COM and America Online. In addition, he has worked in the private sector as a media-relations consultant, which includes coaching executives in interview skills development and public speaking.

Mr. Greenberg is the recipient of numerous professional awards. Among these are the International Association of Business Communicators’ excellence prize, Fellow of Loyola University’s (New Orleans) Institute of Politics, and a Faculty Fellow of the School of Continuing Studies - Tulane University.
