Win LOA Lounge Tickets, Share the Gydget

The Voodoo Gydget is basically a widget fueled by a heavy dose of New Orleans chicory coffee. Embedded with latest Voodoo line-up information, news, videos and more it’s a direct line to Voodoo. Post it on your myspace page and send us a comment to let us know it’s there. On Monday October 20th we’ll pick one myspace friend with the Voodoo Gydget to win a pair of LOA Lounge VIP passes. Grab it, post it and hopefully spend Voodoo in the LOA Lounge. Voodoo Myspace | Get Gydget Now

Voodoo Exploration

Wyclef Jean – An alumni of the first Voodoo in 1999, the former Fugees co-founder launched his solo career ten years ago and has effortlessly crossed genres, generations and geographic boundaries as a musical goodwill ambassador and a diplomat for positive cultural evolution. His records and live performances feature a dizzying array of musical guests and special unannounced duets. (Friday October 24, 4:30 on PlayStation/Billboard.com stage)

Dashboard Confessional – The once solo side project of Further Seems Forever front man Christopher Carrabba started out with intimately personal acoustic songs, yet eventually became a fulltime band in 2001. Mixing his command of emotionally charged lyrics with the power and range of a band turned Dashboard Confessional live shows into large scale but intimate sing-a-longs with enthusiastic audience participation. (Sunday October 26, 2:50 on Voodoo Stage)

Ivan Neville's Dumpstaphunk – A member of the New Orleans Royal Family of music, Ivan is joined by his own son Art and an all star collection of New Orleans musicians with extensive music resumes including the Neville Brothers, The Funky Meters, Etta James, Dave Matthews, Trey Anastasio, Jewel, Harry Connick Jr., the Wild Magnolias and many more. Bonnie Raitt called their brand of New Orleans deep fried funk “the funkiest collection of human gumbo ever assembled on the planet.” (Saturday October 25, 6:15 WWOZ/Soco Stage)
